Business event will inspire teenage girls
INTERNATIONAL Women's Day will be celebrated at a motivational event today.
Business in the Community, KPMG, Southampton University, and Southern Co-operative are running an event to inspire 36 girls from three schools – Reading Girls School, Woodlands Community College and Portchester Community School – with the help from 12 women in business from 12 industries.
The event, at Southampton Solent University, will highlight that success as a woman in business is possible and give the young girls an understanding of how their academic studies will support them in work.
The event has been set up through Business Class, a programme from Business in the Community.
