‘Our historic high street is a hub of activity and lifeline to many people who use it for all their shopping.

‘During the current Covid crisis the high street took on a new challenge and stepped up to offer online shopping to compete with the big companies such as Amazon and online supermarkets.

‘Our village really is something special and we want to share that with as many visitors as possible.’

The new website is leeonthesolent.uk. Local businesses can join for free to be listed or can pay to become a full member for an enhanced listing and partnership benefits.

More than 50 Christmas trees have been installed along the high street, as have Christmas lights. There will be late night shopping until 7pm on December 3,10 and 17.
