Collaborative working on show at coffee shop

A SOCIAL enterprise that serves speciality coffee is holding an event to showcase its latest collaborative working.

Canvas Coffee Shop, which operates a pop-up shop at Portsmouth and Southsea train station on a rolling one-day basis, is holding the event on Thursday, July 28 at 6.30pm.

It has been working with graphic design and illustration brand I Love Dust, which has offices in Southsea and Brighton, on new cup designs.

Pravin Isram, cafe manager, said: ‘We’re getting some people together to unveil an exciting creative collaboration that I Love Dust has been working on with us. We’ll be having a cupping event too that evening and giving a bit of an update on what we’re up to.’

The cafe offers voluntary work experience opportunities and barista courses to those in early recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction to build confidence as well as developing skills.

In 2014 it won the Small Business Social Enterprise Award from Shaping the Future of Portsmouth.
