Company celebrates receiving '˜good' rating

STAFF and customers are celebrating after the Care Quality Commission officially rated a charitable support and housing provider as '˜good'.

CQC inspectors assessed Advance’s services in Fareham, looking at whether the service was safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well led, and they concluded the service was ‘good’ in every area.

While carrying out their visit, inspectors spoke to customers about the service they received. The report said customers described their support workers as ‘a very nice lady’ and ‘ever so nice and friendly’.

The inspectors’ report also noted that people’s wishes were responded to on a day-to-day basis, with workers enabling people to go out for walks, take part in leisure activities, and go on day trips.

Debbie Neill, director of services, said: ‘Our staff and customers are thrilled that the service has been officially rated as good by CQC. As our priority is the happiness, well-being, and increasing independence of our customers, we are very pleased that the quality of the service has been recognised by CQC.’
