All the shops that can open from June 15 and those that will remain shut

Stores, such as those selling clothing or books or electronics, were told to shut in March as the country went into lockdown.

While supermarkets, pharmacies and other essential shops were allowed to remain open.

Boris Johnson announced last month that non-essential shops will be able to open again on Monday, June 15 if they can meet the coronavirus guidelines to protect shoppers and workers.

Here is what you need to know:

What can open on June 15?

Car showrooms and outdoor markets were allowed to open last Monday (June 1).

Dental practices were allowed to reopened this week.

However from June 15 all non-essential shops can return for business, this includes:

- Clothing/ fashion retailers

- Book shops

- Betting shops

- Arcades

- Shoe shops

- Tailors

- Mobile phone shops

- Technology retailers

- Gift shops

- Auction houses

All non-essential shops can reopen provided the guidelines are met along with the Government's five tests for easing the lockdown.

Which brands have announced they will be reopening?

A number of popular high street retailers have said that they will be reopening on June 15.

This includes:

- Primark

- Debenhams

- Game

- JD Sports

- Next

- H&M

- Topshop

- Topman

- Burton

- Currys PC World

- Sports Direct

- Dune

- Zara

What will remain shut?

Businesses in the hospitality industry such as pubs, restaurants, theatres, clubs, hairdressers and gyms have not been given the green light to reopen yet.

Minister Alok Sharma said these business will remain closed until at least July 4.
