Carluccio's in Gunwharf Quays to reopen next week with 50 per cent off food bill

AN Italian chain restaurant has announced it will reopen its doors in the city next week.

Carluccio’s in Gunwharf Quays will open on Thursday, August 20, and will be offering diners 50 per cent off their food and soft drinks bill, without the £10 per person limit, as part of the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

The offer, which will run Monday to Wednesday throughout August, also includes £10 off each bottle of wine ordered.

The team have put measures in to ensure social distancing measures are observed and a high level of hygiene with sanitising stations, a reduced number of tables and surfaces sanitised every 30 minutes.

Administrators confirmed in May that the company was sold to Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG), owner of Giraffe, in a move which saved over 800 jobs and 30 restaurants.

The chain’s 40 other restaurants were shut down as a result of the deal, with the loss of more than 1,000 jobs.
