Easter bank holiday supermarket opening times for Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Lidl and Aldi in Portsmouth

Many people will be looking forward to enjoying a four day break.

If you are planning on having a bank holiday BBQ in your garden, an Easter roast or maybe need to stock up on chocolate eggs at the last minute, you don’t want to be caught out by changes to supermarket opening times.

Especially since there are two bank holiday’s to watch out for.

So to make life easier we have rounded up all the opening times for supermarkets in Portsmouth over the Easter weekend.

Tesco

Opening times vary across the different types of Tesco stores across the city.

The Tesco Extra in the Pompey Centre is open from 7am to 11pm on Good Friday and Saturday.

It is then closed on Easter Sunday. It will be open from 8am to 6pm on Easter Monday.

The Tesco superstore is open from 7am to 10pm on Good Friday and Saturday, closed on Easter Sunday and open from 8am to 6pm on Easter Monday.

Tesco Express stores will be open throughout the weekend from 6am to 10pm every day.

Asda

If you are an Asda shopper, here are the opening times for the superstore in Fratton:

- Good Friday – 7am to 11pm

- Saturday – 7am to 10pm

- Easter Sunday – closed

- Easter Monday – 7am to 8pm

Morrisons

Here are the opening hours for Morrisons in Portsmouth over the bank holiday weekend:

- Good Friday – 7am to 10pm

- Saturday – 7am to 10pm

- Easter Sunday – closed

- Easter Monday – 7am to 7pm

Waitrose

The Waitrose store in Southsea will be open over the Easter weekend, here are the times:

- Good Friday – 8am to 8pm

- Saturday – 8am to 8pm

- Easter Sunday – closed

- Easter Monday – 9am to 5pm

Sainsbury’s

There are a number of Sainsbury’s across the city.

The Farlington superstore will be open from 8am to 8pm on Good Friday, 7am to 10pm on Saturday, closed on Easter Sunday and open from 8am to 8pm on Easter Monday.

Sainsbury’s Local in Commercial Road is open from 7am to 10pm across the weekend, while the Sainsbury’s in Guildhall Walk is also open from 8am to 9pm every day.

Aldi

Aldi has confirmed its opening times for over the Easter weekend:

- Good Friday – 8am to 8pm

- Saturday – 8am to 10pm

- Easter Sunday – closed

- Easter Monday – 8am to 8pm

Lidl

Lidl will be open over the bank holiday weekend, here are the times:

- Good Friday – 8am to 10pm

- Saturday – 8am to 10pm

- Easter Sunday – closed

- Easter Monday – 8am to 8pm
