Gosport art gallery to reopen tomorrow with all-female exhibition

AN art gallery that was forced to close due to coronavirus lockdown restrictions will be reopening tomorrow, it has been announced.

Yellow Edge Gallery in Stoke Road, Gosport will reopen tomorrow morning with revised opening hours and a new exhibition.

The gallery will be open from 11am-3pm on weekdays, and from 12-5pm on weekends.

Power To Us is a dynamic, all-female exhibition at the Yellow Edge Gallery, Gosport, that showcases the works of 13 emerging artists. Pictured: Samantha Lee March

On Wednesday, the first exhibition launched will be called Power To Us – centring around female artists.

A spokeswoman for the gallery said: ‘The exhibition offers insight into how young, contemporary, female artists are currently navigating the modern world, and how the outputs of their creative endeavours are engaged in diversifying the arts scene for all women.’

The exhibition will run until April 25, with further exhibitions already lined up.

Flower Power, celebrating the beauty of spring, will run from May 8-23, with Shapes and Patterns in Creativity going on display from May 29 until June 13.
