Here are the safety measures Gunwharf Quays are bringing in for when shops reopen
GUNWHARF Quays is ‘working on plans’ to reopen shops in the coming weeks.
The outlets at the discount shopping centre shut in March in the days before the country went into lockdown.
Boris Johnson announced last week that non-essential shops will be able to reopen on June 15, provided it is safe to do so.
Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth is now preparing for the reopening of its stores and will implement new safety measures.

A spokeswoman for the retail and entertainment complex said: ‘Following government advice and guidance in recent weeks, we have been working on plans for future store openings as and when it is safe to do so.
‘The health and wellbeing of our guests, our colleagues and our contractors is paramount so we will only reopen our non-essential stores if the current government advice remains in place and it is safe to do so.
‘Extra measures such as one-way systems, two-metre distancing, hand sanitisers and extra cleaning will be in place, and our security and concierge teams will be available to help manage queuing and capacity.
‘FAQs will be added to Gunwharf Quays website soon and, closer to June 15, guests will also be able to check online to see which stores are open.
‘The centre’s social media channels will also be updated with additional information and trading hours details.’
The Five Guys restaurant at Gunwharf Quays recently reopened for delivery and takeaway.
