Havant-based professional portrait photographer, Johanna Elizabeth, has launched a fundraising appeal which aims to raise hundreds of pounds for the Portsmouth Hospitals Thank You Appeal.

Johanna’s fundraiser has been officially backed and supported by the charity, and it’s her hope that it will help to raise hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds to support wellbeing, buy supplies and fund welfare initiatives needed by the Trust’s staff over the coming weeks and months.

She is an official volunteer for the hospital as a regional co-ordinator for the Remember my Baby charity, providing free-of-charge baby remembrance photography to parents who have lost their baby before, during or shortly after birth.

Johanna said: ‘I wanted to find a way to say thank you to my local NHS trust, and to all the incredible people who are working so hard to look after our community during this challenging time. These people include my friends and former colleagues, and they’re working tirelessly on the front line despite terrible circumstances and having to work in a high-stress, extremely pressured working environment.

‘Through my photography, I hope to be able to help raise much-needed funds for the hospital as well as empower women through the portraits I create. My team and I felt that these sessions were an effective way to support both the community and the hospital.’

All of the £99 fee for a ‘boudoir’ or ‘beauty’ photoshoot at the Johanna Elizabeth photography studio will be donated to the Portsmouth Hospitals Thank You Appeal. Photoshoots are available to purchase from https://www.johannaelizabeth.com/nhsthankyou and will take place once lockdown has ended.
