Andy said: ‘It’s wonderful to finally be officially open and to show people the extent of our refurbishment.

‘We have managed to keep the store open to customers in the past couple of months by just sectioning off the different areas while they were improved.

‘People have been really complimentary about what we’ve done here, and we think it will contribute to the community.

‘We always like to support the community where we can, and we’re grateful to local company Neon and Blush for the balloons on our special day.’

The superstore employs 140 people, with many of them having worked there between 10 and 20 years.
