New restaurant JinZun opening soon in Fareham and replacing popular all you can eat Chinese restaurant Kungfu Buffet that went bust

SIGNS for a new restaurant have gone up at the former location of a popular buffet spot in Fareham.

JinZun will be opening soon in West Street, at the unit where the beloved Kungfu buffet used to be.

A Facebook page for the new eatery, describing itself as an Asian buffet with sushi and Chinese cuisine, has been created – showing a logo, address, and cover photo.

Its predecessor Kungfu Buffet went into liquidation in July 2020, with a court launching a winding up order.

The business specialised in an all you can eat menu which proved to be a big hit with customers.

Despite its popularity, the restaurant closed.

Records on Companies House at the time showed the business ran into trouble.

The county court in Portsmouth issued an order for the restaurant to be wound up on July 7 two years ago.

Kungfu Buffet took over the former JJB unit in the town centre in March 2016.
