The duo have teamed up to open Forever Young Dental & Aesthetics Ltd in Windy Alley, Lee-on-the-Solent.

Nikee said: ‘We were meant to open on May 1 but everything got stopped because of lockdown. We took it over and started work then lockdown happened. Luckily our decorator was able to continue as he was on his own but it was a big setback.

‘We would have liked to have held a big launch party to celebrate our opening but sadly that’s not been possible so we have just been doing little bits since we opened at the end of August.

'But it is great to be in Lee. We are a brand new business and we hope that people will support us.'

Rebekah said: ‘It has been a bit of a rollercoaster. It has been super exciting although Covid put a stop to some things.

‘But the response has been brilliant. It has been a lot of hard work but I have no doubt it will be worth it.'

Nikee said she was inspired to start a business after suffering a range of health issues including malabsorption which prompted her to investigate the benefits of vitamin shots.

She said these helped her overcome memory and fatigue issues so she was keen to offer them to others.

After having nine months off work through ill health, the business idea came to her while she was having a manicure.

She said: ‘I was getting my nails done and I could see a big queue of people all waiting to get their nails done too.

‘That’s when I had the idea to set up a business so people could have nice teeth and nice nails.

‘Then I started to look into permanent make-up, and other services that we could offer and it has grown from there.

‘It has grown into a wellness centre, and we are even doing nutrition.

‘We bring a boost to people’s self-esteem. I have two daughters so I know the issues society faces these days with self-esteem and I hope we can help people with that.’

Rebekah said she was keen to get involved so she could make her vision of easily accessible dental services – including children's services – a reality.
