Portsmouth residents can now get Greggs delivered to their door

IF you live in Portsmouth and are craving a steak bake or sausage roll but don’t feel like moving you can now get Greggs delivered straight to your home.

The bakery chain has now reopened across the city if you want to pop in and pick up a treat.

However Greggs has now announced that you will be able to get click and collect and even delivery from its store in Crasswell Street, Portsmouth.

In just a few easy clicks, residents will be able to get their hands on their favourites.

All they need to do is simply select the shop of choice and a time slot, choose their items from the reduced menu and pay online.

Greggs will then send an email when the order is ready for collection.

Once customers arrive at the shop for collection, Greggs’ new operational measures will be implemented to help keep customers and colleagues safe.

These measures include only one adult permitted instore to collect an order (children can accompany parents) and the introduction of floor markings to ensure a safe social distance is maintained.

As well as the click and collect option, Portsmouth residents can now also order deliveries from the Crasswell Street shop via the Just Eat app.

So if you can’t make it to the shop in person you can order a Greggs from the comfort of your own home to be delivered directly to you.

A Greggs spokeswoman said: ‘We’re thrilled to introduce our Click and Collect service in Portsmouth and along with the other shops we’ve reopened across the country and our partnership with Just Eat, we’re pleased to help bring a little taste of normal back to our local communities.’
