Primark, Nike, Debenhams, barbers and high street stores with queues in Portsmouth, Fareham, Havant and Gosport

Shoppers have rushed back to the high street across the Portsmouth area this morning.

Non-essential retail was allowed to reopen today after being closed since being ordered to close in the city before Christmas, as tier four restrictions came into force.

The reopening of the high street and major retailers like Primark has seen shoppers flock back this morning.

Line outside Top Barbers in Southsea

It has resulted at queues across Portsmouth and in the surrounding towns like Fareham.

But it is not just shops that have seen queues, barbers have also seen lines including in Southsea.

Here are the businesses that have had lines this morning:

- Primark in Commercial Road, Portsmouth – has seen a huge queue this morning, stretch back down the high street

- The North Face, Gunwarf Quays

- Ralph Lauren, Gunwharf Quays

- Clarks, Gunwharf Quays

- Top Barbers, Southsea

- Ian’s barbers in Havant is doing walk in only – so there has been a line this morning
