Luckily, as garden centres are one of the businesses allowed to trade as essential stores, the opening will take place this week, with some parts of the centre closed until restrictions are relaxed.

Head of business development Deborah Mills said: ‘We have undergone during Covid, a huge transformation to create a totally new garden centre.

‘We have got an amazing new restaurant called the Summerhouse, a coffee lounge, we also have all the familiar plants and garden furniture, and we have about 60 outdoor garden buildings on display.

‘We will cater for everybody. We have a small children’s play area too that will be open as soon as Covid restrictions are over.

‘There will something for everybody here. We are also dog friendly.

‘We hope to be somewhere that people can come, have a nice time, bring the family, bring the dog, bring their parents and grandparents and have a great time.’

The centre, which employs 10 staff, will stock plants, outdoor furniture, garden buildings, fencing, garden supplies and decoR.

It will also sell a wide range of Christmas decorations and it will have Christmas trees available for collection or delivery.

It will also sell Moon Roast Coffee, Daro Furniture and Alexander Rose Furniture.

Outdoor building firm Abbey Garden Buildings will also be at the site.

Deborah added: ‘People who have not visited for a while will be amazed. It is a totally different place now. Pretty much everything has been knocked down and rebuilt.
