Wickes to reopen its stores in Havant and Hedge End tomorrow

WICKES is set to reopen more than 100 stores including a couple in our area.

The DIY retailer originally closed all of its shops across the country as the UK went into lockdown in late March.

It re-opened six stores in early April but is now set to open another 108 stores tomorrow, the Sun has reported.

According to the report, the Wickes in Havant and Hedge End will be among the ones opening on Thursday.

The shops will have shorter opening hours between Monday and Saturday, with the two stores in our area opening between 7am and 4pm.

While the reopened Wickes will still have the same operating hours on Sundays.

When the stores open, there will be a number of safety measures in place.

Wickes will be limiting the number of people allowed in the store at a time and there will be a one-way system around the shop – according to the retailer’s website.

All payments will be card only and the stores will not be able to process refunds at this time.

There will be a trolley cleaning area that customers are asked to return them to after finishing using them.

The kitchen and bathroom showrooms are closed and the in-store paint mixing service is currently unavailable.
