All Good Things has opened an eco-friendly shop selling a wide of array of produce such as packaging-free spices, vegan sweets, dairy-free chocolate and environmentally-friendly washing liquid, in the former RBS unit in West Street.

The business was originally set up online by entrepreneur Nina Goodall, from Wickham, in 2019.

It quickly grew and as demand for her products rose, she took on a unit at Shedfield Equestrian Centre.

After expanding there, and then suffering a flood last October, the business moved to Wickham Community Centre.

Now after years in the planning, Nina says she is delighted to have her large shop set up in Fareham town centre, which opened at the beginning of this month – and she hopes people will support her venture.

Nina, 41, said: ‘It is really good here. It has been really positive, despite the fact we are in lockdown people have been so supportive. Lots of our regulars have been coming in, and there has been lots of new people who have stumbled upon us. There is so much more space here, and footfall, it is amazing.’

The shop has packaging-free and zero waste alternatives for many regular household goods, such as shampoo, shower gel, detergents, and a wide range of pantry staples and dried goods.

It has also installed a freezer, selling fruit and vegetables.

Nina said her most popular items at the new shop have been the salt and pepper cashew nuts, herbs and spices and the cinnamon swirls.

Nina, who is married to council worker Steve and has two children, Scarlett, seven and Layla, six, said she hoped her shop would appeal to busy families.

She said: ‘The whole world realises that we need to be more eco friendly and less wasteful, it’s not just about plastic, it’s any kind of waste. You see pictures of the television of landfills full to the brim and of sea turtles with plastic around their necks, so everyone knows they need to do something, but it’s not always easy.

People do not have a huge amount of time or money.

‘That’s where we try and help. We keep our prices low and encourage people to start small and find out what works for them. It’s about giving people the choice.’
