Developer has pledged armed forces support

HOUSEBUILDER McCarthy and Stone has pledged its support to The Royal British Legion during its remembrance open week.

In the lead-up to Remembrance Sunday, McCarthy and Stone said that for each visit to Wykeham Court in Wickham, Walmsley Place in Bishop’s Waltham and Folland Court in Hamble during its open week, the firm will donate £10 to The Royal British Legion.

Clare Peppiatt, community fundraiser for The Royal British Legion, said: ‘We are proud to be working with McCarthy and Stone during its open week, and are thankful for its support in promising to donate £10 per visit. This money will help us to continue providing vital support to serving individuals, those who are moving or have moved back to civilian life, and importantly their families too.

‘This year we want to encourage the public not only to remember those who served in the First and Second World Wars, but also remember the sacrifices made by other generations of the armed forces.’

The open week will run from today until Saturday from 11am until 3pm. To book a slot call 0800 310 0383.
