Alisha, from Farlington has set up The Drip Stop, where she gives IV infusions and IM shots of vitamins and minerals to support healthy lifestyles.

The 33-year-old was inspired to start her own business while working for the NHS.

She still works four days a week at a hospital, running The Drip Stop in her free time.

Alisha said she uses her medical background to make sure that her client’s needs are met in a safe way.

She said: ‘The key thing is that this is a doctor-led business. You are going to get advice from a medical professional who knows exactly what they are talking about.’

Alisha offers a range of drips through bespoke packages based on her client’s health assessments, which take up to 40 minutes to deliver, and start at £195 for hydration, or £225 for vitamins.

Alisha said that people feel ‘replenished and energised’ afterwards.

She said: ‘We deliver intravenous and intramuscular shot of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids to improve our wellness from within.

‘We find that when we consume things orally we only absorb about 30-40 per cent of our nutrition.

‘When you receive it through your vein you get 100 per cent.

‘As a doctor I have learnt over the years that preventative medicine is the way that we need to be going.

‘Throughout the pandemic we have all been more aware of our mental and physical wellbeing. I wanted to do something more, outside of my day to day medical practice to support this.

‘There is very little education about there about this at the moment so I am here to make sure that people are aware that this exists and that they are receiving accurate information from a trained medical professional so they can optimise their wellbeing knowing they are in safe hands.

‘It is really big in London but not very many people in Portsmouth know about IV drips and their benefits.’

The Drip Stop launched on July 3 and Alisha said she’s already seen lots of interest, from a wide range of people, including sports people, busy professionals, bride and grooms, students and many more.
