Duo find work after attending jobs fair

A JOBS fair has been praised after two carers found work through a company exhibited at the fair.

Mark Wilson and Becky Webb both attended Alan Mak’s Jobs, Apprenticeship and Careers fair earlier this year.

They were just two of around 2,000 job seekers who headed to the event and have since been able to obtain work through care provider Right at Home.

Mr Wilson said: ‘The careers fair was well organised – I attended a CV workshop and used the opportunity to speak to different businesses about career advice.

‘My new powered-up CV got me four interview requests and I decided to join the Right at Home team in Havant.

‘I am looking forward to a career where you can make a big difference to the daily lives of the clients and your own outlook on life.’

Becky added: ‘Things did not work out at my last job so I was looking for a new path.

‘A friend tagged me on Facebook about Alan’s career fair so I went and one of the first people I met was Duncan [Cameron, business owner of Right at Home CareGiver].

‘We had a lovely chat and set up an interview and it all went uphill from there.

‘I am new to caring but when it came for my induction I found the training very informative and everyone I have met has been so welcoming and helpful.’
