Fareham construction firm starts £4m project

AMIRI Construction has started a £4m project building a sports centre for St Andrew's School, Pangbourne, former school of the Duchess of Cambridge.

The Fareham-based company is building a 1,550 sq m centre, designed by Bournemouth-based Mancon Project Management.

The school’s 285 pupils witnessed history being made when Amiri started the 12-month build last week.

Head pupils Rosie Perkins and Rory Hogan performed the ground-breaking ceremony with Felicity Rutland, chair of governors and headteacher Jon Bartlett.
