Fareham entrepreneur sets up creative agency to help businesses get their messages to customers

AN ENTREPRENEUR from Fareham is determined to help businesses boost their branding with her new creative agency.

Annelies James-Ryan has set up 22Midnight, a creative agency that uses logic to build transformative communications strategies.

The 36-year-old, who is well known in the local area for her personal branding work, said it was the perfect time to launch as ‘in a digitally saturated world, it’s sometimes difficult to see the wood for the trees.’

She said that businesses often have a wealth of data but often no idea what their customers really think about the services they offer or the best way to interact with them.

‘And that’s where I come in,’ she said.

Having built a reputation for her personal branding work and wizardry with video, Annelies wanted to expand her offer - and took herself back to the classroom to start an MBA.

Annelies said: ‘The process has been transformative. Having been so used to using the creative side I’ve my brain, I’ve now discovered a passion for data analysis and the competitive advantage it can bring.

‘So now I’m using evidence to create beautiful stuff for my clients.’

As businesses come out of the lockdown, she hopes they will be more financially aware and keen to get good value from their marketing budget.

‘We can work with a marketing team who typically will be covering a range of different digital comms, using strategies they inherited,’ she said.

‘We can audit all communication channels, and we mean all of them to see what is going on. We ask potential customers and ideal clients questions to find out how, when and where they should be communicated with.

‘By digging deep into the data, I can offer insight from a perspective that is removed from the day-to-day challenges a marketing team is facing and come up with a strategy that works for them.’
