Fareham MP backs smarts meters

Suella Fernandes, MP for Fareham, says the meters give its users ‘much more control’ of their gas and electricity usage.

Miss Fernandes was speaking after attending a parliamentary event with Smart Energy GB.

She said: ‘Smart meters will give us all much more control of what we spend on gas and electricity, and finally put an end to estimated bills.

‘I was delighted to see first-hand how smart meters will benefit my constituents. I encourage everyone to find out more about them.’

Smart meters show users the amount of energy they use in near real time and how much they are spending in pounds and pence.
