French strike sees Brittany Ferries services axed

BRITTANY Ferries services out of Portsmouth have been cancelled today due to striking dock workers in France.

Customers travelling between Portsmouth and Caen were informed about the strike via Twitter on yesterday in a tweet saying: ‘We’re sorry. Due to a national strike, Tuesday’s sailings to/from Caen have been affected.’

Brittany Ferries is asking affected customers to call 01752 648637 to get advice on alternative routes.

Routes affected are:

n 2.45pm Portsmouth – Caen

n 4.30pm Caen – Portsmouth

n 5.15pm Le Harve -­ Portsmouth

n 11pm Caen – Portsmouth

All others are operating as normal.
