Gillian Jones- Williams wins gold at Best Businesswomen Awards 2024

The Best Businesswomen Awards have announced their winners for 2024 at a Gala Awards evening held at the Hilton Syon Park.
Businesswoman Gillian Jones-Williams of Emerge Development Consultancy won Businesswoman of the Decade in this prestigious competition which seeks to find the very best female business talent from across the UK. Emerge was founded over 30 years ago and supplies leadership development and executive coaching internationally as well as the award-winning RISE Empowering Women’s programme which has enabled thousands of women globally to fulfil their potential.
Despite a challenging economic climate, the innovation, flair and passion of female entrepreneurs shone through. All winners, selected by a panel of business experts, demonstrated their business acumen, tenacity and courage.
The Best Businesswomen Awards are designed to recognise the achievement of female owned businesses and charities across a wide range of business categories and are open to any female business owners.

Debbie Gilbert, the organiser of The Best Businesswomen Awards, said, ‘This is the 10th Year of the awards, and we have recognised over 1000 women since we launched in 2015 across a huge range of industry sectors. The selection process is rigorous and to be one of our winners is a major achievement. The judges make their selections based on business expertise, innovation, and high levels of customer care. Our winners are shining examples of outstanding entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges and have shown they have the results worthy of being recognised and rewarded.”
The judges commented Gillian founded her business over 28 years ago and has built an extensive client list. The business returns incredible results and reacts to the needs of the market offering a great range of training. Some courses have been created through personal experiences in a business constantly innovating. Enclosed testimonials and evidence supplied clearly demonstrated that Gillian has overcome challenges, risen to them and powered ahead with some remarkable achievements.
Gillian commented “I am honoured and humbled to be selected as Businesswoman of the Decade, however this award belongs to my whole team, some of whom have been with me for over 20 years. Without them I would not have a business. My mother was chronically bipolar which meant that I left school at 17 and didn’t attend University so I have had to learn everything about business from experience. I also have ADHD and I hope that this shows people who did not have a strong educational background or are neurodivergent do not need to feel disadvantaged and can achieve whatever goals they dream of.”
