In pictures - Hampshire Apprenticeship Hairdressing Academy's ten year anniversary showcase

Hampshire’s best hairdressers have been celebrated at the ten year anniversary showcase of the Hampshire Apprenticeship Hairdressing Academy, known as HAHA.

The multi-award winning training provider, has trained over 2,000 learners and on Monday evening it celebrated its achievements at a special event held at the Garden Marquee of The Queens Hotel.

Last year HAHA embarked on the rollercoaster journey of becoming a Prime Training Provider, giving it college status with the support of MP Penny Mordaunt, which was celebrated during the event which also saw 35 hairdressers nominated for awards in six different categories.

The winners were: Magazine Glamour – Molly Sheard (Green Mango, Gunwharf); Bridal/Prom – Abbie Treagust (KB Salon, Fareham); Avant Garde, First Year Students – Maddison Harper (Hair@339, Copnor); Avant Garde, Second Year Students – Mollie Adams (Charlottes Academy Isle of Wight); Barbering – Ted Salmon (Equinox Gentleman's Refinery); Level 3 Advanced and Creative – Andrea Aldea (Smyth's Hair, Southsea); VTCT Excellence Awards – Scarlett Potter (Razor Sharp, Fareham) and Kieran Martin (Charter Cutting Company).

The evening also featured 17 dancers from Energize Dancing School as well as a raffle raising funds for Ethan's Quest.

HAHA operations director Lisa Campbell said: “The event took months of hard work and planning but on the night it was all worthwhile by seeing every element of the work we do come together. The quality of our students’ work was beyond believable.”
