Construction of a new Aldi, KFC and Costa has made huge strides ahead of completion for winter 2026.
The latest aerial pictures show the progress made at Waterloo Park in Waterlooville where work began in January this year. All three buildings are showing huge signs of progress since The News’ previous update in August with the car park also nearly complete and marked out.
No date has been confirmed for the three store opening, but the developers Hargreaves have previously confirmed the works are on track for the expected openings in winter 2026.
Tim Wilmer, investment director at Hargreaves, said previously: “We are delighted with the excellent progress being delivered by Mildren. Waterloo Park Phase 2 will provide high‑quality retail and leisure offerings for the residents of Waterlooville and underlines Hargreaves’ long‑term commitment to the town.
“This development continues our significant investment in transforming a formerly redundant site into a thriving destination that benefits the local community.”
Once complete, there will be 169 car parking spaces central to each unit.
A Costa Coffee Spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our new Costa Coffee Drive Thru store in Waterloo Park, Waterlooville, this Winter. The new store will create up to 16 employment opportunities, bringing a team of talented baristas to the area.”
