Junk Emporium opens second store in Waterlooville as Christmas comes early to the town

A new shop selling a diverse range of goods has opened in Hampshire with Father Christmas in attendance to welcome its first customers.

The family-run Junk Emporium opened in London Road, Waterlooville, on Tuesday, October 22 as they brought “Christmas early” to the town with a visit from Santa Clause. It is the second store that the family has opened having established a store in Rodney Road, Portsmouth over the past four years.

Charlie Coombs, the manager of the Waterlooville store, is pleased to be able to finally show shoppers what they have in stock. He said: “Our slogan is we sell anything from a teaspoon to a wardrobe, anything and everything. We get donations, do house clearances, buy liquidated companies and their stock, just anything we can get our hands on.”

The choice of Waterlooville was natural for the family having lived in the area all of their life. Charlie said “We actually live locally in Cowplain, so it’s not far from us. We have always lived in and around Waterlooville and it’s a lovely area. It has lots of new and exciting shops and businesses opening up so we thought it was the right place for us.”
