Director Nick Oliver said he was delighted to be returning to the event as one of nine firms selected from across the country to be short-listed in the Insolvency Law Firm of the Year category.

‘We have achieved a great many successful outcomes for clients in the past 12 months, involving a variety of complex insolvency problems,’ he said.

‘At the end of the day, that’s what our role is really about – helping clients to understand their options and guiding them to the best outcome. Insolvency can be a daunting and complex area, and one that people normally have little contact with in their day-to-day lives.

‘We have done a lot of work for company directors this year. This has included the successful defence of directors accused of wrongful trading at a four-week trial in London. This case resulted in a ground-breaking judgment which clarified the law in this area. We have also assisted individuals resolve difficult bankruptcy problems, including many relating to properties.’
