New all-you-can-eat world cuisine buffet restaurant opens in Cascades Shopping Centre in Portsmouth

Spoon opened in Cascades Shopping Centre in Portsmouth on Saturday, January 18, offering a buffet-full of multi-cuisine including Chinese, Indian, sushi, Asian, Turkish and British dishes, cooked by chefs who are experts in their specific fields.
It also boasts a pizza oven, with trained chefs serving up traditional Italian dishes, as well as several live Teppanyaki cooking stations.

Hide AdThere is a fully-stocked bar, offering beverages from across the world, including the popular Asian Tiger beer and a range of hot and cold desserts.
They are holding a launch event on Sunday, January 26, which is to celebrate the opening as well as Chinese New Year.
The restaurant is located upstairs in the shopping centre and has access from both inside the mall and from the street, allowing diners to eat after the centre is closed.
They offer lunch and dinner sittings, with a set price for an all-you-can-eat feast, ranging from £7.99 for an adult.

Hide AdThe Portsmouth branch is one of four other Spoon branches, owned by entrepreneur Kevin Shen.
He has branches in Ipswich, Chatham, Basildon in Essex and will be opening another in Colchester, also in Essex.
He said: ‘This type of restaurant is good for not just one type of person, but all types of people. It’s hard to find something that you don’t like here.
‘People like buffet food and no one wants to spend a lot of money for a meal.

They are currently recruiting staff including waiters and waitresses, chefs and kitchen porters.
Andrew Philip, centre manager said: ‘This opening and has been in the pipeline for a while and represents a big step forward in our ambitions to rebuild the shopping centre’s food offering.
‘From speaking with our shoppers over the years, I’m fully aware that this is also something they have wanted since the old food court closed and I’m sure the community is just as delighted as we are that this world buffet is opening in Cascades.’
