New cycle route at county park will strengthen links to Petersfield train station

CYCLISTS will have the opportunity to try a new route linking Petersfield to Queen Elizabeth Country Park tomorrow.

The new four-mile stretch connects to routes leading to the train station.

The £1.5m route was backed by 4,000 people in a petition set up by Cycling UK, and funded by grants from Enterprise M3 LEP, East Hampshire District Council, and the South Downs National Park Authority via the Department for Transport’s Cycling Ambition Fund.

The ride out from QE Country Park will start at 9.30am, before the return ride from the train station at 10.10am.
