New Pets at Home store on lookout for charity partner

A new Pets at Home store is looking for animal rescue organisations to receive grants.

Support Adoption For Pets has helped over 1,000 rehoming centres and animal welfare organisations across the UK by awarding cash and running fundraising campaigns with Pets at Home.

The charity, along with the new Waterlooville store, is calling on local animal charities, rescue centres and welfare organisations to contact them and nominate themselves to join the charity partnership scheme.

Justine Quirk,from Support Adoption For Pets said: ‘Our local charity partner scheme, in association with Pets at Home stores, has continuously been very successful across the UK and we can’t wait to be able to support an animal cause in Waterlooville.’

The new Pets at Home store which has created 32 jobs will open in Waterlooville on Friday.

It will feature a Groom Room inside the store with a Vets4Pets practice opening a few weeks later. The Groom Room will offer a range of services, including grooming, bath and blow dry, microchipping and nail clipping.

A surgery will provide a wide range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations.

The store is at Wellington Retail Park on Hambledon Road, the premises formerly occupied by DFS.
