Shop worker's charity ride

THE manager of a Marks and Spencer food department is cycling to stores across the country for charity.

Katie Pycroft, who works in the Waterlooville branch, will be joined by five colleagues from shops in the south on the 160-mile trek which begins on Friday.

It is for Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship fundraising event, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Katie’s manager Jonathan Proctor said: ‘The 160-mile bike ride is a fantastic way to fundraise for such a worthy cause.

‘Katie is a hugely motivated member of the team and we are confident she’ll put every effort into the ride and make our store very proud.’

Throughout the route, employees from stores across the south will also be joining the ride.
