The final piece of the family attraction at Clarence Pier is now being fitted before the public get the chance to ride it for the first time.

The 100ft wheel, which will feature 24 gondolas, each seating six passengers, was made in Italy by attractions firm Technical Park.

Pier bosses forked out £750,000 to have it made.

Toddlers aged one to three can go on the ride for £2.

Visitors can also pay £40 for the ‘ultimate VIP gondola experience’, which will include a glass of bubbly for those 18 and over.
