Like other British towns and cities, Portsmouth’s high streets have experienced big-name losses because of the uncertain retail climate.
The Gunwharf Quays, Port Solent and Cascades shopping centres and high streets in Southsea, Fratton, North End and more local areas continue to draw in great footfall with their offering of stores, though.
But what high street names would make the Portsmouth area an even better place to shop?
We asked our readers to name the best big-name stores Portsmouth’s doesn’t have, and they responded in their droves.
So without further ado, here are the shops they would like to see in the city – counting down from 10 to one.
