Workshop helps Bury Farm
A FREE workshop has been held to help businesses having to move due to a new housing estate being built.
Winchester City Council, in conjunction with training provider Southern Entrepreneur, organised a workshop for businesses at Bury Farm estate in Curbridge.
The estate has been earmarked as part of the proposed 3,500-home development at north Whiteley.
The council has been working with occupiers to help them find alternative premises. Bury Farm businesses were invited to attend to gain dedicated advice.
The event, sponsored by the Horse & Jockey pub in Curbridge, was delivered by Jim Culverwell of Culverwell Consultancy, a former commercial agent.
Liza Smith, the council’s business advisor to Bury Farm, said: ‘Bury Farm businesses have learnt that forward planning is the key to any businesses relocation.’
