Launch of StepFresh aims to banish the toilet brush forever

Portsmouth hygiene solution company Pure Hold Ltd, has launched a new product – StepFresh - that is set to completely overhaul the way toilets are cleaned.

StepFresh is a compact cleaning accessory positioned next to the toilet, is simple to install and suitable for various toilet bowl sizes. It has a discreet tube system that feeds into and encircles the entire bowl.

With a press of the foot, StepFresh dispenses bleach or toilet cleaner 360 degrees around the bowl and breaks down any stains or marks, eliminating the need for ineffective Rim Blocks or unpleasant scrubbing with a toilet brush.

“Toilet cleaning is the most unpleasant cleaning task and one that most people hate - but StepFresh changes this entirely,” said Purehold MD and StepFresh inventor, Matt Roberts.

“It’s a product that makes the entire process effortless and efficient for everyone, from young children to the elderly or individuals with arthritis. I believe this product will transform the way people approach toilet cleaning, improving hygiene standards and saving time.”

Purehold has a strong track record in successfully designing and bringing to market different hygiene products. The Purehold PRO is a Government-funded, hygienic door handle that automatically dispenses sanitising gel onto the user’s hand as they open the door, and is used in food processing plants, hospitals and more.

Matt Roberts brought that experience and expertise in hygiene product design when he started work on StepFresh: “Toilet brushes are disgusting and are one of the dirtiest items in a house, especially because most people never clean them,” he said.

“They frequently drip contaminated water on the bathroom floor, and despite lots of novel designs, they are still fundamentally flawed when it comes to hygiene. People are often in a rush or distracted by their phone and many people in a household don’t even look at the brush, let alone use it.

“That’s why I came up with StepFresh. It is hands-free, foot operated and simple and quick to use, which is what makes people want to use it because they don’t mind spending a few seconds stepping on it to help clean the toilet clean. It’s also highly effective, removing stains, limescale and ‘skid’ marks from the toilet bowl without anyone needing to pick up a toilet brush again.”

StepFresh is currently available on Amazon or direct from Purehold. In the long-term Matt will seek a retail or distributor partner to help bring StepFresh to more homes across the UK and internationally.

StepFresh is not only user-friendly but also environmentally conscious. It allows you to dilute traditional toilet cleaners and bleaches with water while still achieving sparkling results. In testing, it was used with dozens of toilet cleaners, which were diluted by up to 80% with water, and the results were still highly effective. So even though StepFresh will be used a lot by toilet users, it means that you won’t be using too much bleach or toilet cleaner.
