It was a fantastic challenge and one that was carried out with skill and organisation and included over 750 pupils in Years 7-10, and staff.
We think you will agree that the results are amazing and we are delighted that this will become a piece of Purbrook Park School’s history for years to come.
We celebrated our centenary with a huge Centenary Summer Celebration, on Saturday 6th July between 11.30am and 3.30pm.
The event included fun for all the family; performances from present and past pupils, and a Summer Fayre with over 40 craft and refreshment stalls, Bar and Pimm’s tent, traditional summer fayre games and inflatables. We welcomed over 300 alumni into the school on pre-booked tours of the school who enjoyed browsing displays from the archives and present day.
The Mayor of Havant officially opened our Summer Fayre at 11.30am and then visited our brand-new Centenary Study Centre to conduct an official opening, before planting our Centenary tree and time capsule at midday.
Current and former pupils, along with friends and family, governors, trustees and local residents joined us for the momentous day – what a wonderful way to celebrate our school’s history and the fantastic school Purbrook Park has become today!
