Santa Comes Early to King's Academy Lord Wilson
King's Academy Lord Wilson celebrated an early Christmas this term thanks to a generous grant from Cash4Kids. The grant allowed the school to provide a Christmas present for every single pupil, many of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
"We wanted to ensure that all of our children had a special Christmas gift to open," said Dr Nigel Matthias, Headteacher. "Our school values are honesty, faith, and courage, and we believe Santa Claus perfectly embodies these values. As we are all believers, we decided to dress up in tribute to the real Father Christmas as we know he is very busy at this time of year."
The school was transformed into a festive wonderland with staff and students alike donning their best Christmas attire - and even using a snow machine as pupils arrived. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as pupils eagerly awaited their presents.
This heartwarming initiative demonstrates the power of community support and the importance of ensuring that every child experiences the magic of Christmas.
