18 of Portsmouth parents' best photos as schools in England reopened

TODAY was the first proper school day in England since January 5.

To mark the occasion, Portsmouth parents took photos of their children looking smart in their uniform for the first time in two months.

Here are 18 of their best photos – including one pupil’s very colourful return to the classroom and a parent’s heartfelt solution for a tearful son on his first day back.

Please note: Every photo gallery we publish contains a ‘Buy photo’ button beneath each picture by default.

However, no photographs from this gallery are available to buy.
