A moment in time

IT LAY undisturbed under a private school for three years but when the school was forced to close last year, a time capsule was dug up.

However yesterday saw it buried again in Westbury Manor Museum’s garden, in West Street, Fareham.

The capsule was filled with items from various groups within Wykeham House School, and buried in 2013.

A short ceremony was held yesterday.

Mayor of Fareham Mike Ford said: ‘I’m delighted we’ve been able to safeguard the memories associated with Wykeham House for generations to come.’

Chairwoman of Wykeham House Association, Louise Clubley, said: ‘It is the end of an era.’
