Cruise company scouts students

A NATIONAL cruise ship operator has scouted South Downs College students.

Carnival UK, which operates cruise ships around the world, linked up with catering students at the college to find apprentice chefs. Five students competed in a cook-off to be short-listed into the interview round. Successful students will be offered an 18 to 24-month apprenticeship in which will learn their trade while travelling in the Mediterranean, Caribbean or on a tour of the world.
