Experienced teaching professionals have been eager to get back into the classroom to do what they do best.

Over the pandemic the college in Gosport has been working hard to develop a new initiative to help adults to get back into work or to develop and enhance their current work skills.

Whether you are pursuing your passion for a dream job, looking for a fresh new direction or simply wanting to achieve qualifications to progress in the field you are already in, there is a wide range of opportunities for you to study at St Vincent - online, remotely and in person.

For some people, returning to education for whatever reason requires personal bravery. At St Vincent College, they run a number of courses that help people grow and build upon newly-found confidence, which will incorporate confidence-building and employability skills, CV-writing and interview techniques.

If you are looking to develop your English and Maths skills to enhance your CV, employability prospects or to simply support your children with their homework, St Vincent College offers a range of courses from accredited GCSE and Functional Skills to non-accredited, 10-week introductory courses in both English and Maths.

What’s more, the college offers free English and Maths initial assessments to Gosport residents to help identify your current level, followed by an impartial guidance session with a member of the team to discuss your result.You can then enrol on to an appropriate course and start your journey to achievement.

There is also a variety of taster and introductory courses, which include progression to fully-accredited qualifications, including subjects such as Business Administration, Care Work, Customer Service, Teaching Assistant, Early Years, Counselling, Computer Basics, First Aid, Creative Writing, Forensics, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Psychology, Child Psychology and many more.

The college offers many vocational NVQ qualifications that can help you start out or progress within your career.Areas include Teaching and Education, Care Work and Business Management, as well as Advice & Guidance and Assessor & Internal Quality Assuring.

During the Covid pandemic, St Vincent College identified the need for students to access learning resources and teaching online, launching new and exciting Level 2 Certificate courses that could be carried out at home with remote assessor/tutor support. Courses include Dementia Care, End of Life Care, Customer Service and IT User Skills.

The college offers a broad variety of Post-16, Adult and Higher Education and Special Educational Needs and Disability courses, so no matter where you are in life, it can help.
