Georgina Moore passed her 100 words-per-minute exam with 100 per cent accuracy and, according to the judges, she also produced the most technically-accomplished shorthand notes. She also passed her 110wpm exams.
Ms Moore, 22, was presented with her award and £250 cash prize at a formal lunch.

Hide AdThe third year University of Portsmouth student said: ‘Journalism is my passion and to be recognised on a national level for my shorthand is such a privilege.
‘I adopted the attitude of treating my degree like a full-time job. Some mornings I would be in library at 7.30am before my lectures started, mostly practicing my shorthand outlines.
‘Never did I once think I could achieve 100 words a minute at 100 per cent accuracy, let alone 110 words per minute.
‘I had no idea it was coming and I cannot explain how excited I was. Winning the award is an absolute honour.’
