Success story

In 2020, we were the only college in Hampshire chosen to launch the T Level qualification, which is the perfect combination of classroom learning and first-hand industry experience – thanks to the placement aspect of the course. Our T Level students also achieved a commendable 97% pass rate on results day this year with many receiving job offers in their chosen industry following a successful placement.

Former T Level in Design, Surveying & Planning for Construction student Louie Kattenhorn secured a job as an Assistant Project Manager at Peter Marsh Consulting after completing his studies.

Louie said: “The T Level courses really do have the potential to unlock a career path that you wouldn’t necessarily believe that you would go down. I absolutely would not be in my current position if it was not for T Levels.”

Additionally, our Havant Campus is devoted to academic excellence, offering over 40 A-Level subjects ensuring you have a large range of options to choose from to suit you and your future endeavours. Many of our students progress onto Higher Education after completing their A-Levels with us, including those who secure places at Oxbridge and other Russell Group universities.

HSDC Havant has also recently been successful in securing £3.5 million in funding, which will be used to facilitate a mix of general-purpose and IT classrooms in the form of a new building to support the continued growth of our A Level Centre of Excellence.

Former A-Level student Bethan Lodder, who left HSDC this year, said: “I really enjoyed all the subjects I took and developed even more of a passion for them whilst studying here. My teachers helped make my time here amazing – I really loved my lessons and learned a lot.”
