Families were entertained by dance shows from students and the Ellipsis Academy of Musical Arts and a guitar performance by pupils and their music teacher.

Headteacher at the school Joy Waelend said: ‘It was a wonderful day and it was really good to see the school at the heart of the community and the community coming in to the school to enjoy activities on what was a lovely sunny day.’

There were over 20 stalls including tombolas, raffles and a barbecue and the children nominated their teachers to be soaked with a bucket of water for the good cause.

The school raised over £2,000 on the day and hopes this figure will rise following another event to sell all the leftovers, including toys, sweets and clothes.
