Celebrating student/community collaborations

On March 28, students and staff from the University gathered together with local business owners at the Knowledge Exchange Showcase.

Hosted by the University’s Creative Students Creating Business (CSCB) Project, the guests heard stories from students, staff, and external collaborators about how they have worked together to exchange knowledge, ideas, experience and skills.

Among the featured projects, guests heard from Entrepreneur-in-Residence Jinx Prowse about the 12-year relationship between his social enterprise, Music Fusion, and the University.

Student collaborations have included producing social media and marketing strategies, providing competitor analyses and producing a 30-minute documentary feature.

Business Studies student Hannah Matthews said: ‘It’s been fantastic hearing all the other project stories this evening and it’s been great to network with so many cool creative businesses.’
