Big Conversation Portsmouth: Figures show impact of Covid-19 on Portsmouth's personal finances

NEW survey results have outlined the pandemic’s effect on the city’s personal finances.

It comes after more than 1,000 people responded to The News’ post-lockdown poll, The Big Conversation.

Of those 57.09 per cent said they have cut back their spending as a result of the pandemic.

Meanwhile 47.61 per cent are supporting local businesses more.

Figures also showed 28.83 per cent of respondents were worried or very worried about their job security or income because of coronavirus, while 35.35 per cent were not at all.

In comparison 42.44 per cent of people were concerned or very concerned about their personal or household finances. Fifty per cent were not concerned at all.
