Coronavirus in Portsmouth: which age groups have the highest infection rates after six weeks of lockdown?

New figures have revealed the prevalence of Covid-19 within different age groups in Portsmouth.

Nationally, in the seven days to February 10, the age band with the most cases per 100,000 people was 90 and overs, at 310.9.But in Portsmouth, this has been spun on its head, with people in their 20s and 30s seemingly more likely to catch the virus.

Those aged 60 and above are considered high risk by the NHS, while those aged 70 and over or the clinically vulnerable account for 88 per cent of deaths.

Here are the 11 age groups in Portsmouth that had the highest infection rates in the seven days to 10 February.
